The Sunday School offers institutional instruction to children ranging from kindergarten through high school level (age 5 - 18) for basic teaching of Islam using knowledge base from the Holy Quran, Sunnah and collective Fiqh. Our teachers are from the local community who volunteer their time for the cause and come from various disciplines of life. The school accepts children ages 5 to 18. The school administration and teachers are usually volunteers, unless there is a serious problem securing qualified volunteers. There is a nominal charge for attending the Sunday school which covers expenses of books, supplies, and snacks. However, the fee is waived for families who cannot afford it. There is no formal procedure to apply for the waiver, only to tell the school principal privately. The school teaches Quran, Hadith, Seerah, Islamic ethics and moral values. The school also arranges social events for the children, like parties, trips, and end-of-the year program. Some of these social events are open to all children in the community whether or not they attend the Sunday school. To register your child in the school you need to complete a registration form, available from the school principal during school hours. |
