Alhamdulilah, we at the Islamic Center have embarked on completing an unfinished project that has been deferred for many years. This project entails completing the lower level of the extension of the Islamic Center under the school wing of our building.
Our goal is to build a Community Center that will offer a youth center, a social hall and a gym for women, a free community clinic, childcare, conference rooms and more classrooms. The scope of the new HVAC system in this portion of the building includes replacing the aging system in the school wing of the building.
Owing to the projected costs of over $2 million, this effort was shelved for almost 25 years.
The HVAC system in the school is not performing optimally, and the growing needs of our community now make this project one of necessity rather than a wish.
We are thus commencing this project insha Allah with a goal of paying for it over the next four to five years. Our goal for this year is $500,000. During this month of Ramadan, we will be fundraising solely for this project insha Allah. We hope you will consider donating generously and signing up for monthly pledges to help us with this effort insha Allah.
